Nauvoo

We went to Nauvoo November 29-Dec 2 for a wedding that Dustin booked, and I am so glad that I was able to go with him. I love being able to go to places with him because I love experiencing new things and places with him. It is also a nice little vacation to reconnect, and to just be together. We flew into St. Louis and we just had to see the famous arch, and it was pretty neat. We then drove to Nauvoo. We shot the wedding on a Friday at Nauvoo then we drove to Kansas to do the reception.

We had so much fun the whole time we were there, we love both the bride and grooms family. They are both so hilarious. The night before the temple we were able to go and visit with their families and we were able to get to know them better.

It was such a beautiful wedding and we were able to get some photos of us thanks to Kimbra, the sister of the groom.

We had such a good time. When we drove to Kansas there was an ice storm that we drove through and we wanted to see Carthage, when we got there it was closed, we thought we would go and ask the people that live on the property. We were able to go into Carthage and see the jail it was so awesome to see. I'm so glad that we were able to go and see it.

O Christmas Tree..

This year since we are in with our in laws, we don't have much room for a Christmas tree much less anything else, but I had to fit in a tree somewhere, so after much moving around things and placing them in different places we finally had room for our Christmas tree. The kids were so excited to decorate the tree so they called over our cousin and had her come over to help. This year Madison was able to put the tree topper on which is our Santa.

Its funny to watch kids decorate a tree. I think that they only see one place on a tree and put all of the decorations on that spot. We had many gaps on the tree, but with the help of Kimmy the tree looks pretty even.

Cameron even got in the fun but he just played with the ornaments since he cant really decorate it yet.

Thanksgiving

I know it has been forever since I have posted so here are a few posts for everyone

For the past two years we go to a friends house for Thanksgiving, and this year was so fun, when everyone was gone we still weren't wanting to go home. We love being included in their family. The Thanksgiving dinner was so delicious, I usually don't like yams, but I loved the candied yams that they had. Just thinking about it makes me want some more turkey dinner. I am looking forward to going to their Christmas party. Last year I wasn't able to attend because Kyleigh and I were coming home from Florida on Christmas eve. This year we will be able to attend though.

I am so grateful that they invited us last year, becuase our families the past few years don't do a traditional Thanksgiving feast, and it is something that I love doing and being around. I am hoping that in the next few years when we are settled in a house of our own that we will be able to host our own Thanksgiving feast. It is such a great thing to do, to spend time with friends and family.

We also look over the ads wondering which store we will hit first because we like going out and doing all of that crazy holiday shopping. Some people love going out and ca,ping out and others like staying in their warm bed staying away from the crazies. :) We are the ones that stand in line freezing our butts off all night for a few good deals.
